Graphic Designer for a printing company wanted
Description:
JOB DETAILS:
•Create designs for print
marketing materials like brochures, business cards, flyers, postcards,
etc. and work with customers to ensure their satisfaction with the
design
•Must be able to design extremely quickly under pressure and work within designated times and finish by customer deadlines
•Create custom designs such as company logos and design layout
•Create design templates for print products
•Designing
marketing collateral for SelectGP within brand including but not
limited to business cards, brochures, flyers, and website banners and
icons.
•Output print-ready files to plates for pre-press
•Work directly with clients to take print orders and design
•Promptly responding and following up with customers by phone, through email, and in person
•Administrative duties when needed like answering phone, making copies, checking on status of orders, filing
•Any other office duties as needed
•6 month probation – at 6 months, you will be re-evaulated to determine whether you are a fit for the company or not
REQUIREMENTS:
•Must
be available everyday Monday thru Friday for 25-35hrs a week (between
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm) (schedule will be determined by workload)
•Must be able to work additional hours as needed to meet customer deadlines
•Must have AT LEAST 2 years graphic design experience
•Must have experience making diverse and professional company logos
•Must have great customer service
•Must
be able to meet deadlines and produce creative designs in a short
amount of time (We’re a production team that needs a fast graphic
designer to meet customer needs. Customers can be demanding.)
•Knowledge
of the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign,
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Powerpoint)
•Must learn CorelDRAW
•Experience in the office
•Must be accountable to customers, especially on projects with urgent deadlines
•Must be able to manage time, multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects at one time
•Must be able to communicate ideas and information to customers
•Must care about your customer projects and make an effort to help them as thoroughly as you can
PREFERENCES
•Experience working at a printing company
•Experience working at a creative design, advertising, or marketing company
•Degree in the graphic design field
•Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, and/or Korean
•Knowledge and/or experience in sales
•Knowledge of design program CorelDRAW
•Experience at a company with multiple customers and tasks at one time

Interview Process
1st Interview: 2 hours with a group of applicants. You’ll be given a list of assignments and asked to complete them within the allotted amount of time.
2nd Interview: This is a one-on-one more personal interview for us to learn more in-depth about your work experience.
